Parents of new Yr 11 students (3rd June 2008)

We would like to invite you to a ‘Review Day’ on Wednesday 25th June to discuss the progress and achievement of your son/daughter. This will comprise a fifteen minute interview with your son/daughter’s form tutor, a member of staff who is working closely with your child or a senior member of staff. Your son/daughter will not be required to be in school other than to attend the review.

The overall purpose of the day is to encourage parents to take a pro-active role in the monitoring and support of learning in and out of school. We will also be able to discuss the latest monitoring / assessment data (relating to your son/daughter’s effort and attainment) in all subjects with you. This will allow us to work together to agree areas for improvement using the School Planner to set and monitor targets. Students must bring their planner to the meeting.

There will also be the opportunity for you to share any concerns you or your child may have.

The Review Day is divided into two sessions: 11.30a.m. – 3.00p.m. and 3.30p.m. – 6.30p.m. Please indicate below which session you would like to attend and send this to your son / daughter’s form tutor. The appointment slip will then be returned to you showing when and where the review will take place. If you are arriving by car, please park on the tennis courts and car park at the front of the main school building.

Parent Mail (6th February 2008)

We have now started a period of dual running, whereby both postal and electronic messages will be used. A large number of you have already provided us with your e-mail address and you will start to receive e-mail and posted correspondence for a period of time.
If you have not yet registered please fill in the tear off slip at the bottom of this letter and return to the school as soon as possible or visit the Parent Mail web site www.parentmail.co.uk and follow the simple on screen instructions.
