Staff from QEHS work with partnership schools (first, middle and special), and Dilston MenCap College to provide and support arts work in and out of the curriculum.

Our Community Arts Worker works with various groups helping to organise and fund events and activities.

Project in 2005 included the following:

• Sonic Postcard
  
• A gap year project providing opportunities for students between school and university.
  
• A street band played for Corbridge First School’s fete.
  
• An instrumental ensemble project for first schools.
  
• Drama work with Hexham Middle School.
  
• An under 5s project in rural locations funded by Youth Music and Sure Start.
  
• We also offer a wide variety of community classes in the arts including photography, life-drawing, stained glass and dance.
