AS Mathematics (OCR – 3892) - Year 12

There are three modules to AS Mathematics, Core 1, Core 2 and Statistics 1. Core 1 is assessed by examination in January of Year 12, Core 2 and Statistics 1 are assessed by examinations in May/June of Year 12. Each module carries equal weighting to the overall grade at AS level, and contribute to a total of 50% of the full A level. Generally the course is taught by two teachers, both teaching Core 1 then each teaching either Core 2 or Statistics 1.
