Online Reporting for Parents/Carers

Parents/carers will receive a username and password to allow you to log into the SIMS Learning Gateway (SIMS SLG) and access your child's timetable, attendance record, academic progress reports, and achievement/behaviour records. The system can be accessed from the QEHS website via the 'SIMS Learning Gateway' link in the drop-down Parents' menu.

When any new report/data is available, you will receive a message via Schoolcomms. Parents/carers do not need to register for Schoolcomms as it links directly with our school system (SIMS); you will automatically receive the messages we send out as long as we have the correct email address/mobile number on record.

If you have any queries regarding SIMS SLG or Schoolcomms please contact:

  • Susan Boath, Federation Data and Exams Manager, on 01434 610338 (email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or

Academic Tutoring

On three occasions throughout the year students are involved in the academic tutoring process. Data about each student's progress is collected from their subject teachers; the student then discusses their strengths and areas for development with their tutor or another member of staff. Together, specific targets will be identified for the student which will be reviewed at their next academic tutoring. Details of the targets set, the target reviews and also target grades for each subject will be recorded in student planners. We hope that this will ensure that students achieve their full potential.
