A statement of entry/provisional timetable for the Summer 2013 exam series has been stored onto e-portal. In addition year 11 students will also receive a paper copy via their tutor. Any exam clashes will be dealt with at a later date.

A final exam timetable will be issued early to mid April.

The school performance tables for 2012 were published on January 24th. A summary of the results is available for download below. The national tables are available on the Department of Education website (www.dfe.gov.uk).

We are delighted that the tables demonstrate our strength at GCSE and A Level. As a school we outperform almost all other schools in the area academically, and we have been praised for our “well-developed and strong approach to enhancing students' spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding”.

The Year 9 ski trip to Les Deux Alps returned on Saturay 19th January. Trip report to follow.

Year 9 E band parents’ evenings will take place Wednesday 16th January.

At this parents’ evening the subject teachers will discuss:

• Progress in the first term – including assessment data
• Engagement in lessons and enthusiasm for the subject
• Response to homework and ability to work independently
