With effect from Monday 1 August 2011 all students who travel on Go North East bus services to school will require a Get Around Key ID card (smart card). The smart card allows students to travel at a discounted rate.
During term times fares with a Get Around Key at peak times fall into one of four bands (80p, £1.20, £1.60, £2.00).
The Get around Key ID is free of charge, requires a photograph, and is obtained via - www.simplygo.com/thekey or from Go North East travel centres (MetroCentre, Washington, Chester le Street, North Shields).
