Post-Results Services: Summer 2018

If you wish to access any post-result services, please read the services and prices list below and complete the Post-Results Service Application Form. All of the services available require you to also complete a Candidate Consent Form (available from the Exams Office) before an application is submitted. Your final mark can be lowered or raised as a result of a clerical check or any review of marking.

 

Exam Results Issue: 2018

The following arrangements are in place to issue exam results to students:

Year 13: collect results from the Winter Gardens 8:00am – 10:00am on Thursday 16 August 2018

Year 12: collect results from the Winter Gardens 9:00am – 10:00am on Thursday 16 August 2018

Year 11: collect results from the Winter Gardens 9:00am – 10:30am on Thursday 23 August 2018

If you are unable to collect results at that time then please complete an alternative issue of exam results form (see below) and ensure that it is handed into the Exams Office no later than Tuesday 10 July 2018. If your form is received after this date there is no guarantee that results can be issued on day of release. Forms will also be available from outside the Exams Office.

If you are nominating someone to collect results on your behalf, please ensure that they bring the completed permission slip (see the alternative issue of results form) AND photographic ID as results are not be issued without this.

Information for Exam Candidates

 

The Essentials

  • You will have received your statement of entry and exam timetable, please check them carefully. If there are any errors, contact the exams office. For changes of tier check with the subject concerned.
  • Prior to the start of the exam period you will receive a rooming timetable showing all the exams. You will have to identify your own exams to find out their location.
  • School exams start at 9:15am for the morning session and 1:15pm for the afternoon session. You should be in school at least 20 minutes before the start of the exam.
  • You should be in school uniform for the exams.
  • You should make sure that you only take into the exam the permitted equipment i.e. black pens, calculators if permitted for that exam. All equipment must be in a clear case or clear plastic bag.
  • You are not allowed mobile phones, MP3/MP4 players etc. in the exam room. They must be handed in before the start of the exam. Failure to do so can mean the loss of that exam result. Where possible, leave them at home.
  • You are not allowed to bring digital watches into the exam room, only analogue watches which need to be placed on your exam desk. 
  • You are not allowed to take sweets into the exam room. Only a small bottle of still water is allowed in the exam room and the label must be removed. Any calculator lids must also be removed. Packets of tissues are not allowed in the exam room. Should you need a tissue during the exam the invigilators will be able to provide you with one.
  • Please remember it is your responsibility to check when and where your exam is.
  • You need to remember your CANDIDATE NUMBER for all your exams. This can be found on your statement of entry and on the seating plan outside the exam room.

In the Event of an Unplanned School Closure during External Examinations

If the school is closed to students due to severe weather conditions during an external examination period, information will be provided on a daily basis on the school website, by messages sent via Schoolcomms and on Twitter.
