    Introduction to the course Lesson

    Hello and welcome to the Bridging course for Year 12 BTEC Business.  

    First of all may I take this opportunity to welcome you to the Business Department.  Some of you will already know us and have studied with us in years 10 and 11 however there will be some of you that we have not yet had the pleasure to meet, so welcome.  

    We will start the course with some activities to introduce you to the topics that we will be covering in our first two assignments. 

      You will need to keep the work that you complete in a folder you do not need to email it back to us.  This can either be stored electronically or printed if you prefer and have access to a printer.  You will need to bring this work with you when you return to class.  If you have any questions or need any help please contact lconley@qehs.net or lreed@qehs.net.  We hope you enjoy your first half term of online learning!  Hope to see you all soon Mrs Conley & Ms Reed.

    The first three lessons of this course will introduce you to the topic of innovation. 
    
    This research will help you with your coursework for Unit 1. 
    
    Watch the video, play the powerpoint and then complete the worksheet attached.
    
    Extension work; Can you think of an innovative idea for a product?  Have a google and see if someone else has already come up with the same idea?  You never know this could make you a millionaire!

    This work will give you an introduction to Branding.  Read through the theory Powerpoint and then have a look through the 'what can you see' Powerpoint then design your own shop front for a shop of your choice using what you know about Branding.

  1. Access the powerpoint on entrepreneurs, answering the questions on file paper as you go through. 
  

  2. Complete the pub quiz style worksheet on entrpreneurs 

  3. Access and watch the powerpoint on enterprise and complete flow chart for a product of your choice.

  This week you will need to complete the Entreprise Activity lesson.  You would normally do this in groups however as this is not possible I would like you to come up with a business idea and presentation of your own.  

  Create a powerpoint to present your business idea as if you were going into the Dragons Den.
