Staff and students at Hexham Middle School and Queen Elizabeth High School have been working with Tynedale’s Bicycle Mayor, David Dixon, to launch an exciting new initiative for Hexham’s young people: a ‘Bike Bus’ to enable students to cycle through Hexham to school safely as part of a supervised group.

Ahead of a trial of the initiative on Friday 14 November, students met with David, school staff and Joe Morris MP, to discuss plans, safer cycling in general and wider sustainability issues.
