Wimbledon Trip 2026

A group of eight Year 9 and 10 students enjoyed a fantastic two-day trip to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. On Wednesday, students watched several high-quality men’s and women’s doubles quarter-final matches on Court 2, as well as taking the opportunity to experience the incredible Wimbledon atmosphere across the grounds. They also joined the crowds on Henman Hill to watch British player Arthur Fery secure an impressive victory in his quarter-final match.

On the second day, the group travelled into central London, visiting Buckingham Palace and enjoying a walk through the beautiful St James’s Park before heading back to King’s Cross to catch the train back to Newcastle.

Throughout the trip, the students were excellent ambassadors for the school, demonstrating exemplary behaviour, enthusiasm, and maturity at all times. It was a memorable experience for all involved, providing sporting inspiration and a chance to take in the sights of London.

Respect. Engage. Aspire.
