Our Year 11 rugby team played against Dame Allan’s, winning 47-17. Coach Scott Ferguson was really impressed with the performance and attitude of the lads, and even the opposition coaches commented on our excellent performance. All players played really well, including the squad players who came on and made an impact.
Also, our Y10 team played their county cup first round matches on Tuesday. They beat Ponteland (26-7), NSB (20-10) and Kings (20-10). Each game was very physical with boys putting their bodies on the line for their team. Peter M had a fantastic debut, demonstrating exceptional finishing abilities by scoring a hat trick against Ponteland with Charlie M grabbing the other.
Against MSB, tries were shared out between (debutant) Leo, Dominic, Henry H and Callum W in a roller-coaster game. And in the third game, similar to the NSB game the boys had to fight hard for their win with tries from Hamish, Callum & Charlie (x2).
Fantastic results! Congratulations to everyone who took part.
