Skiing Achievements

The QEHS Ski Team has had a great year with finishing fourth in the English Schools Ski Association English final in Norfolk. One of the team members, Mia C, has also had a fantastic year of competing, finishing fourth in the English Schools Ski Association final for u16 girls; competing and finishing in the top 20 at the English Championships

Morocco Trip 2019

Mr Jones has sent through some photos of the Morocco Trip,  including the group on their arrival and then working on community projects to help improve infrastructure for villages in the area by creating a water supply from nearby spring: digging trenches and laying the pipes! 

German Exchange

Mrs Bevan has sent through pictures of the German exchange group, who have joined up with American students from Connecticut, also in Steinhagen for an exchange.  They have had an early start today (Tuesday) for the day trip to Berlin, including stop-offs at the Bundestag, the Traenenpalast, Checkpoint Charlie, Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburg Gate, amongst many other famous Berlin

Walled Garden Open Day

There will be an Open Day of our Victorian Walled Garden at QEHS on Sunday 7 July 2019 (1.00pm – 6.00pm). During the Open Day there will be refreshments available, a raffle, a plant stall, and a chance to explore the garden.  Entrance is £2.00 (under 18s free).

Do you have volunteering opportunities?

QEHS Sixth Form Pastoral Team are looking for local charities and organisations to host stalls at our Year 12 Freshers Fair event. Students can explore a range of different volunteering opportunities in the area and give something back to the community. If you are interested in hosting a stall or would like to find out more about the event please

Biology Field Trip

Mrs Fraser has sent through some photos from the Sixth Form Biology field trip taking place this week. She says: ‘We are having a good time in the Berwick sun studying marine and freshwater ecology, and visiting a SSSI to look at succession. Today we are travelling to holy island where the students will carry out investigations they’ve planned themselves

Uniform Pop-Up Shops

Michael Sehgal & Sons Ltd., our designated uniform supplier, is holding Uniform Pop-Up Shops next week: Monday 24 June (3.30-5.00pm) at Corbridge Middle School Wednesday 26 June (3.30-6.00pm) at QEHS The events are primarily for parents/carers whose children are starting at QEHS in September, however current QEHS parents/carers are also very welcome to attend to purchase uniform.
