We were delighted to have Tom from Medical Mavericks present the “Human Guinea Pig” show to year 9, 10, and 12.
Tom introduced us to loads of Healthcare science careers, from vascular science to ophthalmology to medical engineering. We saw how heart rate dopplers, ultrasounds, ECGs, and ophthalmoscopes can me used to monitor the human body, with plenty of volunteers taking part. Students listened respectfully, engaged in the content, and hopefully feel inspired to aspire to a career in healthcare.
