Queen Elizabeth High School wishes to appoint a teacher of Maths. The successful candidate’s timetable will potentially include GCSE and A-Level Maths classes. Our maths department is outstanding and achieves some of the best outcomes in the North-East.

The subject is very popular in the school curriculum with up to 70 students each year choosing to study maths as one of their A Level options and a further 20 choosing further maths in the sixth form. We expect our teachers to have the necessary subject knowledge to teach high achieving A-Level students and the skills to be able to inspire, motivate and support all students whatever their needs or abilities. You would be joining a friendly and supportive team with a well-established collegial ethos.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your rowing knowledge and coaching skills to a successful and ambitious school-based rowing club in the Northeast of England.  Queen Elizabeth High School Rowing Club has a focus on providing a holistic athlete centred approach to coaching.  This has resulted in achieving success on the national and international stage including fostering future Olympians.  Over the last year the club has competed at the highest national youth level, including the Junior Inter Regional Regatta (JIRR) at the National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham; National Schools Regatta at Eton Dorney, at the British Junior Rowing Championships also at Nottingham and at Schools Head of the River in London.  We also enter rowers in Beach Sprints, having previously had a GB Bronze.  At this year’s Schools Indoors, the club won Year 9 events for Women and Open as well as Year 11 Open.

The club has also competed at, and won, many events across the Northeast, including winning five events at Durham Regatta, the premium Northeast rowing event.

What this club achieves is very impressive, but we know that more can be achieved.  We are looking for a motivated and inspiring junior rowing coach to develop the 100+ young rowers to achieve their athletic potential.

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to help provide academic, social and emotional support to our SEN pupils. Working under the direction of the Assistant SENDCo for our special educational needs department, you will be at the forefront of the middle school’s SEND provision.  You will work with colleagues, pupils and parents to build strong, positive relationships to enable all pupils to fulfil their potential and access all of the opportunities we have to offer at HMS. We are a high performing Multi Academy Trust looking to grow and develop talented individuals that wish to specialise in the operations side of our Academy.  We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to work as part of our busy Science technician team.  Your role would be to coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities and provide assistance, advice and expertise in meeting the practical needs of the science curriculum.
