Kenya

Friday, Saturday and Sunday updates! Sorry, we have been MIA recently; it’s been a busy few days!!

Friday – we visited our partner school again. With it being Eid there were few students in, but that gave us a good chance to crack on laying tiles and grouting them in one of the preschool classrooms (they’re definitely helping Arthur and not just chatting football…) 🏫 🤍

Saturday – we visited The Walk Centre, another school within the African Adventures foundation. We started the day with a Swahili lesson learning everything from greetings to body parts to animals. We then had a cookery lesson with Jeff the Chef where we learnt how to make local Chapattis (a group fave) before having them with a local stew for lunch. We then visited the Menegai Crater viewpoint which was stunning, but it did absolutely chuck it down!!! 🧑‍🍳 🌋

Sunday – we visited the church at The Walk Centre to see a Kenyan service. It was a lot louder and longer than we are used to but was an experience! When we got back, we played football with some locals Max, Lewis, Jack, Mr Elrington, Wilf, Mohammed, Syed, Bongo won 22 – 14 to Elliott, Arthur, Mr Robson, Oliver, James F, Mezut, Joseph, Peter ⛪️ ⚽️
