Some of our students competed at the Wentworth leisure centre on the 14th June at the county round of the English Schools Track & Field Championships.
From that round Billy (Junior boys 1500m), Arthur (Intermediate boys 1500m) and Magnus (Intermediate boys 800m) went through to represent Northumberland at the Inter-Counties round competing against Cleveland, Cumbria, Durham and North Yorkshire.
Results from the Inter-counties round:
Magnus – 1st
Billy – 3rd
Arthur – 7th
The next round is the English Schools Championships in Birmingham in July. Magnus has achieved the English Schools standard and is waiting to see if he has been selected to represent Northumberland at the event in the 800m.
