Queen Elizabeth High School is delighted to report some outstanding achievements by its students in their A levels and equivalent qualifications this summer.
Four individuals achieved a clean sweep of A* grades. Over 40% of all grades awarded were at A*/A with many students exceeding their expectations. Over two thirds of grades were A*-B (or equivalent) with 90% of students achieving A*-C grades (or equivalent) and 100% of students achieving a pass or above in vocational qualifications.
Neil Seaton, Head of School, said: “We are proud of our students and staff at QEHS. The students have once again excelled in achieving excellent outcomes in their A Level and equivalent qualifications. Our sixth form offers a wide range of courses, providing the young people with many different options for progression. Students who leave us go onto study abroad, become doctors, vets, nurses or pursue their love of sport or art.”
Ruth Platts, Assistant Head in charge of sixth form, said: “We are delighted with the results achieved in A Levels this year. I also want to highlight the success of students in equivalent vocational qualifications, with many or our young people gaining outstanding results in sports science, business, applied human biology and other courses. We also provide an extensive enhancement programme in Y12 with students gaining awards in further mathematics, sports leadership, the arts and EPQ.”
