Year 12 History & Politics London Trip

We have had a fantastic two days in London. On Monday all students attended the PolEcon conference hearing questions put to politicians including: Zack Polanski, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Annaliese Dodds, Richard Tice, Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg and Lord Brady of Altrincham.

On Tuesday the students met their local MP Joe Morris at the Houses of Parliament and had a tour of the Commons and Lords.

They then watched the opening of Parliament by the Speaker and watched from the public gallery as Health Secretary Wes Streeting took questions from other MPs on health and social care priorities.

The students then visited either the UK Supreme Court or the National Portrait Gallery. We were incredibly proud of how the students conducted themselves; they behaved impeccably!
