We arrived in Kenya on Saturday evening after a very long day of travelling, but everyone stayed in great spirits. Highlights included in-flight antics, making a new toddler friend (and surviving a pillow attack!), and keeping ourselves entertained at the airport while waiting for our donations bag.
On Sunday we travelled from Nairobi to Nakuru, where we’ll be based for most of the trip. We stopped at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, learned some fascinating facts from Brian, and practised our haggling—picking up plenty of souvenirs (mostly thanks to Isla!). We even spotted zebras, giraffes and monkeys.
After dinner, we kicked off games of Werewolf, leading to lots of laughs—especially with Miss Khan repeatedly convincing everyone to vote out Miss Savage, Connor being the first out every time, and some impressively sneaky (and not so sneaky!) gameplay.
An exciting week ahead at Eileen Ngchoch Primary School—reconnecting with old friends and meeting new learners!
