Yr 12 Geography trip to Ouseburn

Our year 12 geography students have just completed their first familiarisation trip to the Ouseburn in Newcastle. They have started the process of designing an investigation to research for their A-level coursework. Student Basketball Success!

Congratulations to QEHS student Joey L., who has played for Newcastle Eagles Academy this year. Knife Crime

Today the Violence Reduction Unit of Northumbria Police were in school to speak to Y9 students on the risks associated with carrying knives and the dangers of being involved in ‘Joint Enterprise’. QEHS Rowing Club News

Last weekend, QEHS took over 60 rowers to Durham to race the first regatta of the season. We came away with 7 wins overall with incredibly competitive racing from all crews. DofE – Setting Up Camp

We had a well-deserved tea party to celebrate the end of the course . We are incredibly proud of ALL the A-level Fine Art, Graphics & Photography students this year. DoFE Practice Walk

A final practice walk last week for our Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award participants, taking a 10-mile loop to Warden Hill. 

Alastair Campbell Visit

Alastair Campbell visited the school today to talk to students about the importance of being engaged with politics.  His talk was interesting and varied and he also fielded lots of insightful and sometimes challenging questions by the students.  Alastair is in the area thanks to the Hexham Book Festival and will be appearing at the Queen’s Hall this evening. #Respect
