Routes into STEM

Mass Orchestra Event

Some of our musicians headed to Royal Grammar School, Newcastle, today to learn a piece of music in a mass orchestra of around 200 students from different schools in the region! They are learning ‘The Little Train of the Caipira’ by Villa-Lobos ready for a public performance at the end of the day.  Rehearsals are in full swing right now

War Horse Trip

We took our year 11 and year 13 drama students to Sunderland Empire to watch the iconic National Theatre’s War Horse last week. Needless to say, they were blown away by the amazing production, which is a magical retelling of Michael Morpurgo’s novel. The life-size horse puppets are incredible, enhanced by the backdrop of creative projections, dramatic music, explosive sound

Biology Live! Day 2

After a well deserved night’s rest, we took in some more of the sights before arriving at the Emmanuel Centre for the headline event. We enjoyed our front row seats and the brilliant talks from eminent scientists, including Prof Robert Winston and Prof Sue Black. Respect. Engage. Aspire.
