The QEHS Winter Concert was a roaring success last half term! The concert, held in the Winter Gardens, was full-to-capacity as audience members watched a jam-packed programme of around 80 performers, featuring the school’s Show Choir, Wind Band, Jazz Ensemble, Session Singers, QEHS Choir, Soul Band, String Ensemble and a whole host of high-standard solos and duets. Well done to the Year 9 girls who took part in a community festival held at Kingston Park, home of the Newcastle Red Bulls. Girls experienced playing on the first team pitch (albeit in very wet & cold conditions!) The PE department wants to say a big ‘WELL DONE’ to year 9, 10 and 11 students who have been on orienteering in PE lessons. Despite unpleasant weather conditions, we have been so impressed with the attitude, engagement, focus and teamwork from our students. Great to see!
