A small group of Y9 and 10 QEHS Rowers travelled to Wansbeck to compete on Saturday. Â This is an ideal event for rowers new to side by side Regatta racing. Our year 12 geography students have just completed their first familiarisation trip to the Ouseburn in Newcastle. They have started the process of designing an investigation to research for their A-level coursework. Today the Violence Reduction Unit of Northumbria Police were in school to speak to Y9 students on the risks associated with carrying knives and the dangers of being involved in ‘Joint Enterprise’. Last weekend, QEHS took over 60 rowers to Durham to race the first regatta of the season. We came away with 7 wins overall with incredibly competitive racing from all crews.
