Oxford Maths Admissions Test Livestream

Are you thinking of applying to study Mathematics at university? In 2026 the Oxford Mathematics department is running a weekly livestream with maths problems and problem-solving strategies, with a focus on the Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA) and mathematics interviews. The sessions are free and available for everyone, and are recorded so that you can watch them later even if you can’t join us live. No registration needed.

The Oxford Maths Admissions Test Livestream is live each Thursday 17:00–19:00 from 11 June 2026, online at www.maths.ox.ac.uk/r/matlive. Topics for the first few livestreams are as follows;

Oxford African and Caribbean Society Access Conference

If you are a Y12 state-school student of African and Caribbean descent (including those with mixed and North African heritage), and are interested in Oxford or other leading higher education institutions, this is for you! On Saturday 11th July 2025 at Brasenose College and Magdalen College, Oxford, you’ll have an invaluable opportunity to gain the knowledge, insights and materials needed to make a competitive university application.
This day features application talks and workshops, led by current ACS students and university staff, subject sessions, a panel discussing life at Oxford and an inspiring alumni panel. As well as a tour of one of the Oxford colleges. We will wrap up the event with a speech from our guest speaker making for a great day of productive and insightful conversations on what your future could look like.

Preparing for Oxford Physics

Our new online course ‘Preparing for Oxford Physics’ is designed to help Y12 students build their problem-solving skills and looks ahead to all parts of the admissions process, including the ESAT, interviews and beyond. While the course is physics focussed, we welcome students interested in studying other related subjects at university, such as engineering.
The course consists of a series of live, online webinars in June / July and September/ October along with summer assignments, videos and an additional interview focussed session in December. It’s open to everyone, and is free to take part in.

Applications have opened for the 2026 course and remain open throughout the course allowing you to join at any time, although the course will start in June 2026.

Autumn Chemistry Conference 2026

We’ll be holding our seventh Autumn Chemistry Conference on Thursday 24th September 16.00-18.00 BST at the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemistry (and streamed online). This will be open to all students studying A-level Chemistry or an equivalent qualification (16-19 yrs) and their teachers and parents/carers interested in finding out more about the cutting-edge currently research happening in the field of chemistry. Those yet to start a post-16 qualification are more than welcome to attend however please be aware this conference is aimed at those aged 16-19 yrs.

Students are welcome to attend in-person unaccompanied by a teacher provided that they are aged 16 or over on the day of the event and have provided emergency contact details.
