On Saturday, QEHS rowing club took on their first 5k of the year at Tees Head. Tees is known for being one of the hardest courses in the UK with multiple horseshoe bends that even the most experienced coxes can mess up. Everyone who coxed and steered at the weekend outdid themselves and we finished the day with no crashes or damaged boats.
This was topped off with an impressive 5 wins: Morty, Barnaby, Marcus, James Mg in the J16 4x, Morty, Barnaby, James Mg, James Mi + Adam in the Op 4+ B2, Kate, Annabelle, Natasha, Eleanor + Hannah in the WJ15 4x+, Noah, Oliver in the Op J15 2x and Ariel, Bella in the WJ15 2x.
Everyone did exceptionally well and performed to the best of their ability. And a special congratulations to all of the year 10s who all smashed their first 5k race!
Respect. Engage. Aspire.
