CERN Trip

Our A Level Physics students have recently returned from their trip to Geneva, where they had the opportunity to visit the CERN site, have a presentation from the academic staff on the research taking place there, and have a tour of the overground laboratory.

It is the tenth time that QEHS has been able to visit CERN, and Ms Coombe reports that it was a very successful trip! The group visited the Antimatter experiment, the Computer Centre at CERN, as well as the United Nations building in Geneva. It was the biggest CERN trip that Ms Coombe has run so far, however unfortunately they didn’t get to see the mountains as it was too cloudy!
