Today is the last day of term for QE students. It has been a challenging year but our students have shown resilience and adaptability in the face of all the challenges. The school community has demonstrated care, compassion, and togetherness through some tough situations. Even today, staff are teaching lessons both in-person and remotely. Learning continues despite COVID and packing!
This is also the last day of lessons in the lower school building. While the buildings will change, the heart of QE will beat on and the incredible people (who make the school special) will move to the fantastic new buildings. We also say goodbye to a number of QE staff today, some of whom have served the school for a long time. Those leaving us for new adventures are: Mr James Cameron, Ms Anna Ritson, Mrs Carolyn Cowings, Ms Sarah Lamb, Mr Phil Keay and Mr Dean Noble. Hanging up their whiteboard pens and retiring are: Mrs Lindy Dixon, Mrs Maggie Coombe and Mrs Judith Minto. We thank them all for their dedicated service to QE and their positive impact on our students and colleagues.
Thank you to all our students and their families for the support that they have shown the school in the last year. We can look back with pride and forward with anticipation to September. In the meantime, have a wonderful summer, enjoy the sunshine and get lots of rest.
