Career and Theatre Trip for A-Level Drama Students

Our Year 12 Drama students have had an exciting trip this week to our local Arts Centre – The Queen’s Hall. There, they got to meet and interview professionals in the industry from the Queen’s Hall technician – Stuart Hanrahan, to the main actress of the show, Danyah Miller.

They found out all about the roles and responsibilities as well as what the Queen’s Hall have to offer young people in the local community of Hexham.

But the best highlight of all, was getting to see the magical and fabulous show; I Believe In Unicorns – a wonderful story by Michael Morpurgo, performed by story teller, Danyah Miller. Aimed at audiences aged 6 to 106! We all loved it and came away feeling nostalgic and uplifted.

Getting to meet Danyah afterwards was a huge bonus for our students, who got to go on stage and look closely at the magical set of impressive interactive story books – and they were all very excited to get to stroke the magical unicorn before they left!

Thanks to Amanda Gould for inviting us along. We will be back soon!
