Tuesday was our final day in Kenya Before heading to the airport, we went back to the Great Rift Valley view point, better weather meant even more amazing views this time round.
We then went to The Giraffe Centre where we had the opportunity to meet a herd of Rothschild’s giraffes, feed them and learn about the conservation efforts out in the wild.
We also went for a little explore in the nature walk, much to the disappointment of those in sliders and crocs
Honestly, we wanted an excuse to stay longer and we were all gutted to be leaving. An incredible 9 days adventure, with an amazing group of students, each and every one of them threw themselves into the unknown, a trio of supportive staff, who without them this trip couldn’t have gone as smoothly as it had, and an incredible team from African Adventures – Martin, our cushty trip host, Norbert, driver and DJ, Ben, Driver and chief chapati maker, and Simon, driver and after 9 days is still called Simon.
A MASSIVE thank you and round of applause to those involved directly in the trip and those who have supported us in fundraising, donations and emotional support!
Asante Kenya, we’ll be back
