On Wednesday 7 October we’re taking Year 12 and Year 13 students inside Deloitte — a Big Four firm and the largest professional services business in the world — to explore their BrightStart apprenticeships and work experience schemes — the route into the firm for school leavers, where you earn a salary, work on real client projects and study towards a professional qualification at the same time.
Their people will explain what the programme involves, which business areas you can join, and what it’s genuinely like to start your career there at 18. If you’re weighing up an apprenticeship against university, this is the evening that gives you the information to decide.

As a Joiner in our Maintenance team, you will undertake a range of duties on our premises, both residential and commercial.
The role is varied and demanding, with a wide range of activities. You will be working in people’s homes or business premises ensuring a safe working environment for all. Excellent customer service and IT skills are needed for this role.

- Location: You will be working at the Advance Northumberland Wansbeck Workspace, located in Ashington, Northumberland, Rotary Parkway, NE63 8QZ. Reporting to Jake our Maintenance Supervisor or Jonny our Grounds Maintenance Supervisor. You will be working from our base in Ashington and at a variety of locations in Northumberland. You will be provided with your own transport for this role.
