Green Careers Event
It was great to see our students engaged in meaningful conversations with employers, employees and places of further and higher education at the QEHS Green Careers and Information Fair. Sixth Form – Alumni Panel Talk
Thank you to the fabulous panel of alumni (and their employers), who gave up time in their working day to talk to a large group of Year 12 and 13 students. They spoke about their experiences since leaving school, particularly the benefits of work experience and apprenticeships. It was impressive to hear how their employers have invested in them and
DofE Bronze Club Preparations
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Bronze club was out yesterday afternoon to practise their campcraft skills. The teams enjoyed learning how to use a Trangia and put up a tent in strong winds. Next week they will complete an 8-mile practice walk. Respect. Engage. Aspire.
Rowing – Schools Head competition
QEHS Rowing club rowers attended the prestigious Schools Head competition on Tuesday 25th March. This is the very first time that QEHS Rowing club has ever entered a crew for this event. This is held on the River Thames in London and is raced over the Oxford and Cambridge boat race course in the reverse direction. It attracts top club
QEHS Green Careers Fair
QEHS Green Careers Fair – Thursday, 27th March This Thursday, we are excited to host our first Green Careers Fair which is taking place with representation from over 20 businesses and organisations. Red Nose Day
On Friday to mark Comic Relief, the annual head-to-head between Mr Atkins and Mr Seaton took place, with Mr Atkins, once again, taking the crown. In an added twist, we ran the race as a house competition with the winning house, Ash and their representative, Harrison N going against Mr Atkins (also a member of Ash house) in the final.
Intermediate Maths Challenge
On the 29th January students took part in the Intermediate maths challenge during their maths lesson. There were lots of excellent results with many students achieving Bronze, Silver and Gold awards in the challenge. Improv Club Showcase
The QEHS drama improv club put on a brilliant showcase of a selection of activities and games they regularly complete in their weekly lunchtime club. The lucky audience thoroughly enjoyed the experience and all had bellyache from laughing! From games such as ‘genre’, ‘letter of complaint’, ‘change’, and ‘freeze swap’, the actors demonstrated unbelievable wit and impressive on-the-spot acting skills which
