Year 9 classes 9KAD, 9HAM and 9WPY are raising money for Cancer Research UK. The three form classes have decided to walk every morning during form time in order to reach the goal of 10,000 steps – the first form to 10,000 steps wins. Over the next three weeks QEHS students are taking part in the 10for10 Challenge. The aim is to get fit and help raise money for our great British charities that have missed out during each lockdown. Each tutor group will select a charity of their choice to fundraise for and they will set their own 10for10 Challenge – do 10

Lockdown Learning and Art

QEHS students talk about lockdown, learning and art. Easter Cheer For Care Homes

Following the success of the Christmas card project for residents of Lowgate and Haydon View Care Homes at Christmas, QEHS students got involved with the Covid-19 Community Care Group to spread some cheer to the residents at Easter. Students made cards, decorations and presents which were put with donations of Easter eggs from TESCO and CO-OP to create Easter hampers.

Covid 19 Home Testing Guidance

Asymptomatic testing is a key part of keeping the school and wider community safe and stopping the transmission of covid. Non Uniform Day Friday 25th March

QEHS will be supporting Comic Relief Red Nose Day by hosting a Non-Uniform day on Friday 26th March. We will be collecting donations during form time and ask for a suggested £1 minimum donation.  Please note we won’t be able to supply change so please ensure you bring the correct coins.
