We are delighted to announce that Queen Elizabeth High School will be hosting a charity cake afternoon for students in aid of Macmillan on Friday 4 October 2019 as part of their ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ campaign. Please note, this is a week later than the national coffee morning.
We are asking for a donation of £1 per student on the day to purchase a cake and a drink. All money raised will go directly to Macmillan.
As there will potentially be 900 students accessing the event across the afternoon, we are in need of lots of cake and are therefore asking any parents if they would like to donate some cakes/buns/crispie cakes etc. These can be homemade or shop-bought. Anything would be gratefully appreciated. From last years’ experience the best sellers were cakes, rather than buns.
Please be aware there may be some students with nut allergies therefore can you avoid making/buying products that contain any nuts.
Please bring cakes to the Hydro meeting room in the Winter Gardens from 8.45am on Friday 4 October. Please clearly label any boxes/cake tins that would like to be returned. These will be available from the Pastoral Office from Monday 7 October.
