On Saturday Owen B from year 9 fought for the FCC Box Cup, North East v South Yorkshire at North Shields Quayside. Owen fought the contest weighing in at 45kg against his opponent, a unanimous decisions made by the judges awarded Owen with the win. We took 50 students completing GCSE and A level Drama, Dance and LAMDA, to the amazing production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at the fabulous theatre, Sunderland Empire last week. Sixth Form started their festive celebrations last week with a visit from Inspired Pots during Personal Development. 170 students painted a Christmas decoration, and enjoyed hot chocolate and festive bake treats. Tynedale Orchestra are playing a concert in the main QEHS school hall on Sunday 23rd November at 2.30 pm. The performance starts with Mozart’s fantastic Don Giovanni Overture and ends with Sibelius’s majestic 2nd Symphony. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to hear classical music. Tickets are only £1 for under 18s and students.

Our Year 9 boys kicked off their winning streak on Tuesday night with a brilliant 4–1 victory over Seaton Valley Federation! The team put in an outstanding performance.
