Our Y11 GCSE lads were involved in a Basketball tournament last week at St Cuthbert’s. They came 3rd overall after 2 very close games. We narrowly lost 21-24 to Emmanuel in the first game. We beat Durham Johnstone 19-17 in the second game. The lads were brilliant considering we’ve never all played together competitively before. The attitude and work rate

After two qualifying rounds and making it to the English Schools finals (less than 30 schools across the country make the finals), our Intermediate (Y9 and 10) boys and girls teams, and senior boys (Y11-13) qualified to compete at Rugby this weekend. We hope you will join us for the HMS Christmas Carol Concert at Hexham Abbey on 15th December, 7pm. The concert will be a festive service including musical interludes from our choirs, orchestra, string ensemble and soloists. Well done to both our Year 9 and Year 10 rugby teams who remain undefeated so far this season after back to back wins against Ponteland and Kings Priory. Year 9 – 63-14 win over Ponteland followed by a 46-12 win over Kings. Player of the match – Charlie with 4 outstanding tries from the wing.Year 10 – 35-28 win
Congratulations to Magnus who was awarded Young Sportsman of the Year – Edward Waite Trophy (sponsored by Egger). Magnus was also a member of QEHS Senior Boys Cross Country Team who won KS4 Team Trophy – Isobel Iceton Trophy. There were a number of other nominees and winners from QEHS across the individual and team awards. We are very proud
PTFA Tuck Shop 19th December
The Year 9 netball team played away at Seaton Valley. The girls played very well and worked hard to get a 14-10 victory. The girls remain unbeaten in the league, well done girls keep up the good work. 👏👏 Respect. Engage. Aspire.
