Y10 Cricket News
After a busy few weeks of cricket our Y10’s have had manged to qualify for National round 1 of the Stokes-Knight cup (last 64 teams in the country) and were runners up in the U15 County cup. QEHS beat Whitley Bay at Tynemouth CC to qualify for the National Round 1 of the Stokes-Knight cup. Whitley Bay made 107 runs

Intermediate Maths Challenge – Kangaroo Challenges Some of our students in Years 9 and 10 took part in the higher level Kangaroo maths challenges recently. Before half term, our Inter boys’ and girls’ teams took on the English Schools Track & Field Cup at Gateshead Stadium. The Y10s have progressed to the final of the Knight Stokes Cup after beating Kings at Tynemouth CC on Tuesday. Kings batted first and were all out for 83 from 15 overs. Durham Regatta
QEHS competed at the famous Durham Regatta this weekend. The Durham Regatta dates back to 1834 and is the second-oldest regatta in England after Chester, predating the Henley Royal Regatta by five years. We had a large number of athletes competing across a range of categories, making for a long day full of complex organisation. The coaches deserve great credit
